Terms of service

Effective date: July 15, 2026

Who can use this site

TradesBridge is open to Washington and Idaho residents. Adults 18 and older can sign up as a participant or a business. High school seniors under 18 can sign up for a limited set of shadowing opportunities once a parent or guardian has verified consent through the process we walk you through at signup.

Using the site fairly

Use the site for its actual purpose: exploring trades, hosting or attending shadow days, and pursuing apprenticeships. Don't misrepresent who you are, use the site to solicit business unrelated to the program, or try to get around our matching process to contact people directly before a business has accepted an interest.

No guarantee of matches or hires

We do our best to connect participants and businesses, but we don't guarantee that any participant will be matched, that any shadow day will lead to an apprenticeship, or that any business will find someone to hire. TradesBridge facilitates introductions. What happens after that is between the participant and the business.

Shadow days are observation only

Participants shadow as observers. You watch, ask questions, and learn what the job looks like. You don't operate tools or equipment, perform work, or act as an employee during a shadow day. Businesses agree not to have participants do actual work during a shadow.

What businesses agree to

Businesses that host shadow days agree to provide a safe environment, follow standard safety practices for their trade, and give participants an honest look at the work. If you're hosting a minor, you agree to the additional supervision arrangements we lay out at the time of scheduling.

Suspending or closing accounts

We reserve the right to suspend or close an account for cause: safety concerns, dishonest information, harassment, or misuse of the site. We'll tell you why when we can.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Washington OR Idaho, to be determined by counsel], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Closing your account

You can close your account any time by emailing info@tradesbridge.org. We'll deactivate it and handle your data per our privacy policy.
